Trick-or-Treat? Nextdoor’s Treat Map returns for Halloween

Halloween is growing ever more popular across the UK, with families getting into the spirit through trick-or-treating, dressing up in ghoulish costumes and decorating their homes into spooktacular delights.

Last year, nearly all parents (96%) on Nextdoor told us they were planning to celebrate Halloween and we predict this year will be even bigger and better.

And so, to help take the stress out of planning the perfect fright night for your little ones, our much-loved Treat Map is back!

Until 31st October, the Treat Map is your ultimate spooktacular sidekick for a hauntingly perfect Halloween. It’s here to turn an evening of ghostly fun into a well-planned adventure.

    Here’s how to get involved:
    • Put your street on the map! Let little ghosts and goblins know if you're handing out sweets or showcasing spectacular decorations. Whether your street is a treat haven or boasts the most spooktacular decorations, let everyone know and make it the highlight of Halloween!
    • Plan the perfect route: Discover the best streets for treats and be mindful of who to scare, ensuring a night full of delightful frights and sweet surprises.
    • Share the details: Get the community in the Halloween spirit by sharing pictures of your pumpkin creations, decorations, or details about the treats you'll be handing out.

We know Halloween isn’t for everyone and that some neighbours prefer not to be disturbed. That’s where our Treat Map comes in! It helps you find the best streets to visit, while being thoughtful of those who’d like a quieter evening. Just look for the pumpkins on the map and avoid areas without them.

So, dust off your broomsticks and prepare your cauldrons - Nextdoor's Treat Map is your go-to guide for a safe and spooktacular Halloween adventure.
